An online B2B platform built on Magento 2.0 for one of the largest suppliers of fabric in India, to help automate the order and fulfillment process between fabric manufacturers and wholesale buyers.

The Client

RK Fabrics, one of India’s biggest distributors of fabrics - traditionally offline.

The Goal

To create the eFabrics website to showcase the company’s products and manage retailer orders while providing a unique and secure shopping experience for retailers and wholesalers.

The process

Searching for a user-centric, responsive, customised solution (and making sure it fit into the offline sales model)
Once we identified the requirements, our team began creating a mindmap for the business process and planned the technology platform for the website. We chose Magento 2 due to its ability to extend core functionality through third-party extensions and custom development.

We implemented several key modules to meet certain business requirements.

  • Customer meeting management
  • Customised order management with sales contracts and invoice
  • Fabric management with bulk upload feature
  • Customised inventory management
  • Order status tracking and shipping notification
  • Fabric audit and approval management
  • Payment receivable management
  • Customer group with permissions to access products based on Mills
  • Customised reports across products, sales and customers

Technology Stack

Built on Magento2, with custom extensions developed from the Magento2 extension architecture. HTML5, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript for frontend development. PHP, MySQL and Rest APIs for backend.
